Question 1

What does Tasca Studios do?

Accepted Answer

We're a video production company that works with advertising agencies, small businesses, and brands to create videos. We handle every step from creative to production to final delivery, including internal projects, video campaigns, stand-alone commercials, and corporate videos.

Question 2

How much will my video cost?

Accepted Answer

Our hourly rate is $300/hr, full-day rate (up to 10-hours) is $3,000, and half-day (up to 5-hours) is $1,500 for filming only. Most videos start at $4,000, which includes a three-person crew for one day of shooting with simple editing. On average, a single edited project ranges between $4,000 to $15,000.

Question 3

How does Tasca Studios pricing compare to other video production companies in South Florida?

Accepted Answer

We have competitive pricing with our core team and bring on freelancers as needed. We don't have a studio, which allows us to keep our rates competitive while still delivering high quality video.

Question 4

Why are rates broken down into full days and half days?

Accepted Answer

Half and full-day rates are standard in video production as they account for transporting gear, setting up lights, checking audio, and prepping the location. For smaller projects we offer a 2-hour minimum, which includes 1 hour of video coverage and 1 hour for equipment set-up and breakdown.

Question 5

Does Tasca Studios collaborate with others?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We have a network of creatives we refer to when we need more hands on deck, and we partner with marketing, creative, and ad agencies when they need a video production team.

Question 6

Do I own the rights to my video?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once the video is finished and approved, it's yours. Raw footage is maintained for 60 days, then archived for five years (access incurs a fee). We can also supply footage on an external hard drive. Under a Work For Hire contract, all raw footage is owned by the client and transferred after the shoot.

Question 7

What software, cameras, and equipment does Tasca Studios use?

Accepted Answer

We use Adobe Premiere Pro for editing and Sony Alpha cameras capturing everything in 4K. We have professional lights, high-quality audio gear, and green screens. If we don't have specific equipment, we source it from rental houses.

Question 8

Why does shooting video take so long?

Accepted Answer

Setting up the shot, checking audio, and adjusting lights is all part of what makes video look great. We take the time to make sure everything is captured right the first time, which prevents costly reshoots.

Question 9

Does Tasca Studios shoot outside of South Florida?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We've worked all over the US and have a network of crew members and creatives ready to work whenever and wherever needed.

Question 10

What is the difference between 1080p HD and 4K resolution?

Accepted Answer

4K has 4 times the pixels of 1080p HD, resulting in a sharper and clearer image. We capture all projects in 4K and export to 1080p for the best quality and file sizes.

Question 11

Is there a cost per minute rule for video production?

Accepted Answer

No standard cost-per-minute rule applies since each video varies based on filming days, actors, locations, scriptwriting, and special effects. We've shot 3-minute promo videos and 30-second commercials for the same price. We're transparent with pricing and focused on maximizing your budget.

Question 12

How many revisions do we get?

Accepted Answer

Normally you get 2 rounds of revisions, with an agreed fee for extra revisions outside the number stated in the contract.

Question 13

How long does a video take to produce?

Accepted Answer

A 2-minute video with speedy client feedback will take approximately 2 weeks after the shoot date to work through edits and revisions to delivery.

Question 14

How long until I get my video back after filming?

Accepted Answer

The first draft is normally delivered within 7 days after filming. For clients with tighter timelines, we have completed projects within 24 hours.

Question 15

How long has Tasca Studios been around?

Accepted Answer

Tasca Studios got its current name in March 2016 when our co-founders moved back to South Florida. We've since helped companies of all sizes, specializing in corporate interviews, training videos, and TV commercials.

Question 16

Can Tasca Studios produce my TV commercial or show?

Accepted Answer

Yes. With the right idea and budget, we have a team of writers, producers, directors, and editors to make your vision a reality.

Question 17

How does video marketing compare to traditional marketing?

Accepted Answer

97% of marketers claim that videos help customers understand products. Video acts like a spokesperson working for you 24/7 on every device, 365 days a year, while also providing insights on who, when, and where your customers are watching.

Question 18

How do I know what video is right for my business?

Accepted Answer

It's best to work backward from your end goal. Through a quick discovery session we can point you in the right direction on what type of video would be best for your business.
